blueberry poundcakes were a good way of cozying up our new kitchen. one for me and one for my sister in law. the recipe is from the moosewood cookbook; one of our wedding gifts.

mySpace
starting in a new place often takes time and patience to learn your way around. for me it is important to define my own space and to do that i spend time arrange the house "nesting", as some may say.
hand embroidered tea-towels are a traditional wedding gift in our family. lovingly stitched by my nana and aunt. i have decided to use these as the anchor of the decor in our new kitchen. i didn't plan on red before but with our vintage style kitchen setup and white tiled countertops, it just all kind of fell into place.
a line of coordinated pots and hydrangeas greet me on the way to the kitchen each day. a little brightness in an empty living room. i have many decorations to recycle from the wedding for our home. many posts should come later to showcase their spotlight during the wedding.
