this is the quilt that was beautifully pieced and hand quilted by my mother as our wedding gift. she also made the matching shams.

the safest place
the last thing we are willing to do when we are kids is to make our beds or take a nap. but as an adult i can now appreciate a good nap and a well made bed. it doesn't always happen when you want it to but the reason i thought of this is because of my new bed. after a hard day, climbing into a good bed can be the safest place on earth.

What a beautiful quilt your mother made. I also love ours she made too, just wish we could have it on the bed. Haven't quite figured out how to keep Zoei off the bed yet!
