it's finished!

so for some reason i have a tendency to conjure up projects and ideas that are overly detailed and whose components and processes are very tiny and tedious; and then i wonder why i get frusterated or it may or may not turn out how i expected! humm...! as a result of being unable to control this i have created this piece. 100's of tiny squares sewn together from every color into this mosaic like piece. i thought this up because i wanted to turn as many tiny squares as i could into something that looked as if it was one continuous texture and not seperate pieces. i'm not sure i got them as small as i wanted but any smaller is almost impossible!!!
i wanted to make it longer also but i ran out of these particular scraps. it's about 1' x 1 1/2' and each square is around 1/4" to 1/2" square.

Yeah Adrienne, it is done and was worth all of the time and work you put into it. It is so pretty and the colors are so balanced. I'm glad I got to see it in person.

One more thought, have you seen belagio (sp?) quilts, they are a little similar with the small pieces and more drastic waves. I may not be saying the name right, I can't remember.
