after being away for holiday traveling the fridge was bare; so it was time to shop. grocery shopping can be a creative adventure in itself. there is always a new recipe to try and new foods to find while shopping. i bought some key limes and blood oranges and tangerines with their stems on them because they were just so beautiful and happy. now i'm scouring around trying to find a recipe to use them in that doesn't require another trip to the store!!!
i had to cut the orange open just to see if it really was red. i see other people use them all the time but this is the first time they have been available to me! sure enough, what a beautiful color inside!

I've seen drinks and recipes in magazines with these oranges, but I don't think I have ever even tasted them or seen them forsale in the market. I can't remember any of the recipes, but let me know what you come up with. Are they good just to eat?
