::i have a stockpile of ideas and items to get posted and ready in the shop so i can start really advertising this shop. i had many plans to be productive today and work on things i had in my mind and half done; but a few things have gotten in the way.....................................................................................................
::our apartment has less than adequate wall outlets and therefore where i have my studio space there is only one outlet available. plugged into that we have a 6 outlet device to hold internet plugs and all that goes along with my studio needs. the temperatures are rising here during the day and i have needed to keep the fan going in the sewing corner to survive. but when i have that going and the sewing machine and the iron; the breaker trips. can't wait to see what happens when we actually need the air conditioner in a few months!!

::by the way my little pfaff hobby sewing machine that i have sewed into the ground since i purchased it 6 yrs or so ago has decided today to make an extremely loud clunking noise with every stitch. each stitch comes out fine but something is wrong inside! i love to fix things but not when it's the sewing machine that i want to use to make new things! so glad my husband is heading to NY soon and will be able to bring back my other industrial singer that is in storage. then the serious sewing will begin.

::after the 3rd time losing power; i fear i may not be able to easily finish my projects today.
i'm traveling from the 9th of april until the 20th so i may not be able to finish my larger projects or get them posted in the shop until after returning.

::after toying around with alot of business card ideas; i finally settled on a design and completed it yesterday.
i was browsing through the wonderment on the amy butler site the other day and was looking at her free patterns. i found this pattern for the business card holder so i just whipped one right up to hold my new cards! i changed a few things; i have a hard time sticking to any pattern and i have even less patience for directions (though both of these are done so well on her patterns!) and i had to add a little surface texture as usual!
*yup, same little piece of blue fabric in recent posts. blue is finding it's way into everything around here!

Sorry to hear about your outlet woas (sp?) and even more sorry to hear about the little Pfaff. But, so very excited that Pradeep will be able to bring back the singer, Yaah!!! Your business card holder is so very cute and nicely done. The little Pfaff is sewing awesome even though it is making that terrible sound.
